The dynamics of the happy family has been in constant transition within the past decade.  Many of the parenting techniques of the past are outdated in our modern society.  The fundamentals of good parenting however has not changed.  Being a loving parent, who respects their chidren, and will be good mentors and teachers, will forever be important facets to raising happy children.

Another facet in this modern society that is truly difficult to comprehend and adjust for is the competition amongst parents for their children to be the best.  Whether it is the top in their class academically, or a leader on the sports pitch kids have pressure in this day and age to perform.  One of the problems with this is the unique situation that every child has, their developmental process, interests, and abilities.  The expectations in many cases are outrageous and unnecessary, whilst actually hindering the progress and development of the child.
