(Plymetric Exercises To Jump Higher)

Getting "hops" has always been a goal of mine.  Its one of those things that when you witness it on tv you are so amazed by the athleticism that you see yourself flying like the pros.  Realistically, a 7 foot basketball player has a far better chance of dunking than does a 5 foot 5 guy, however the feat is possible for both.

Although genetics does play a role, most everyone can increase their vertical jump with plyometric training.  Originally created to gain an advantage in the olympics, plyometrics has become a staple in the training of athletes competing at every level across almost all sports.

From burpies to squat jumps being able to propel your body with force and velocity will improve your strengh, power and enducance for sport.  So don't give up on your dreams of dunking, even if you are only 5'5 because with the right motivation, training, and fitness level huge hops are very possible.
